Cosmetic Treatment Options
Take-Home Teeth Whitening
To achieve a brighter smile from the comfort of your own home, we offer take-home whitening. With our take-home whitening kits, your grin will gradually be whitened over the course of a week or two.
To create your reusable custom whitening trays, we will take impressions of your teeth and gums to ensure your trays fit perfectly.
Once the trays have been crafted, we’ll give you our whitening product and a full set of instructions for proper use. As long as you follow Dr. Joe’s instructions, you’ll get the professional results you deserve, right at home.
Dental Bonding, Shaping & Contouring
Dental bonding is a non-invasive procedure in which Dr. Joe will apply a dental resin (that matches the shade of your smile) to your teeth. They will carefully sculpt the resin before curing it with a special UV light to restore the look, feel, and function of your smile. The whole process usually takes between 30-60 minutes for each tooth.
Shaping & contouring, also known as enameloplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that is often used in tandem with dental bonding. The treatment involves the removal of a thin layer of enamel from uneven, chipped, or sharp teeth to achieve the desired shape.
Veneers
Veneers are wafer-thin, tooth-colored shells made from durable porcelain that are affixed to the front side of your teeth. This cosmetic treatment can eliminate small gaps between teeth, as well as cover up the appearance of severe staining, misshapen or uneven teeth, and much more.
To place veneers, Dr. Joe will shave down the enamel so the porcelain shells don’t bulge or protrude from your smile. This is an irreversible procedure, so it’s an important consideration to make before committing to the treatment. However, veneers can completely transform your smile and will last for years before needing to be replaced, as long as they are cared for properly.
Cosmetic Dental Makeovers
If there are multiple aspects of your smile that you are unhappy with, ask us about a full cosmetic makeover.
A highly customized plan involving multiple procedures, a cosmetic makeover is tailored to address all of your smile needs. Since every grin is unique, exact treatments will differ between patients. Multiple cosmetic and restorative dental procedures will be completed across several visits to help you achieve the smile of your dreams.
Invisalign
Invisalign is an excellent alternative to traditional orthodontics that utilizes a series of clear aligners made from a durable plastic called SmartTrack. If you lead an active lifestyle, or don’t want to deal with the discomfort and look of metal or ceramic braces, Invisalign might be the solution you’ve been looking for.
With advances in Invisalign technology, we can now utilize the treatment to correct more complex orthodontic issues than ever before. Get in touch with us today to set up a consultation and find out if Invisalign is right for you.

What dental issues can cosmetic dentistry solve?
With cosmetic dentistry, we can solve almost any aesthetic issue you can think of. Patients with yellow or stained teeth can receive teeth whitening treatments for a brighter grin. Dental bonding, shaping, & contouring can transform the shape of teeth to fix minor cracks and chips, or to even out your smile to get it back to a natural, aesthetically pleasing look. Veneers or Lumineers can fill gaps, cover severe stains, and fix the look of slightly crooked or crowded teeth. Dental crowns can also be used for cosmetic purposes, though they are reserved for teeth that have experienced more extensive decay or damage.
Am I a good candidate for cosmetic dental treatments?
If you’re in good oral and overall health, chances are that you are a good candidate for cosmetic dentistry.
If you’re struggling with oral health issues like gum disease, cavities, or occlusal issues, you may require restorative or orthodontic treatments before beginning any cosmetic procedures.
Can I get more than one cosmetic dental procedure done at the same time?
Yes! It’s not uncommon to undergo multiple cosmetic dental procedures at the same time. Some services, like dental bonding and enameloplasty, are almost always performed in tandem. Cosmetic makeovers involve the using a combination of a variety of cosmetic treatments to completely transform a patient’s smile.
Is cosmetic dentistry covered by dental insurance?
Every insurance plan is different, but most do not cover cosmetic dental care, as cosmetic cases are often listed as elective, or unnecessary to your oral health, by insurance companies. Some treatments, like veneers or dental crowns, may be partially covered by some insurance plans, but this is not very common. Because of this, you will likely need to pay for cosmetic treatment out-of-pocket. To get an idea of the scope of your dental insurance coverage, contact your insurer directly, or get in touch with our team to see if we can assist you with discounts or payment plans, so you can get the smile you deserve.
Can Cosmetic Dentistry Fix Gaps?
Yes, cosmetic dentistry is one of the best ways to close small gaps in your smile. We offer a variety of treatments that can address minor orthodontic issues such as gaps between the teeth, including veneers, dental bonding, Invisalign, or dental crowns.
Invisalign can close gaps through the use of removable clear aligners that need to be worn for 22 hours a day. The aligners exert force on your teeth to gradually move them into the correct position. If it’s a gap between two teeth that you want to close, then Invisalign can effectively close gaps up to 6 mm.
Another option is to cover your teeth with veneers. By enlarging the teeth, we can cover up gaps. They’re fabricated out of porcelain and based on impressions of your teeth. These porcelain shells are then bonded to your enamel to cover a variety of imperfections, including teeth that are too small or spaces between teeth.
Dental bonding works similarly to veneers in that they can close gaps by making the teeth appear larger. However, the procedure is different. Instead of bonding shells to your teeth, we build up your teeth with composite resin.
This is the same material used in tooth-colored fillings. It’s used to repair damage and cover cosmetic imperfections. It can be used to close gaps between teeth. Building up the sides of the teeth to be wider will close the spaces between the teeth. The resin is cured with UV light which hardens it in place.
Crowns are commonly known as a restorative treatment for weakened or damaged teeth but they also have cosmetic uses. When you have a gap, a crown can cover a tooth adjacent to the space and fill it in by covering up the nearby tooth, making it a little larger and closing the gap.
Can I Be Sedated When Receiving Cosmetic Dentistry?
Yes, you can always be sedated for any procedure at 320 Dental Studio, including cosmetic dental treatments. We always administer local anesthesia before using any surgical or invasive tools like drills or when there is even the slightest risk of discomfort.
However, if you have dental anxiety or would just be more comfortable being sedated, we can offer that to you after you come in for a consultation with Dr. Haack. He will review your medical history to ensure you’re a good candidate. Sedation will relax you, prevent you from feeling pain, and best of all for nervous patients, you’ll forget the procedure altogether.
Can Cosmetic Dentistry Fix Receding Gums?
Yes, cosmetic dentistry can fix receding gums if gum recession is minor. However, if you have severely receded gums you should contact us so we can assess your gum pockets to look for signs of gum disease.
While gum recession can be covered with gum veneers, when the recession is severe or caused by gum disease, you may need a deep cleaning or gum grafts. If you’re dealing with receding gums, contact us at 320 Dental Studio today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Haack.
